Ibramaki Art Gallery was built in the late 19th century with funds from the prominent local figure Zeki Efendi. Restored in 2009, it looks almost new. The two-storey stone building is a fine example of public Ottoman-era architecture. The entrance is on the second floor, reached by two staircases with a small fountain between them. The gallery hosts painting, ceramics and photography exhibitions, concerts and meetings with writers.

The national park covers the Dilek‑Büyük Menderes peninsula — its shore is quite high and partly rocky, but there are several descents to beaches where you can swim with views of the Greek island Samos, just 2.5 km from the Turkish coast. Thales, the famous philosopher and mathematician, was born in Miletus. Archaeologists still excavate here searching for ancient artifacts. The Hellenistic theatre that remains seated 15,000 spectators. Beneath the theatre are caves and passages where ancient statues were hidden. You can freely wander the ruins, but first you must buy a museum ticket, which serves as the entrance to the site. The ticket costs six euros.
