Seaside 5-star Hyatt Regency in Ataköy praised for spacious sea-view rooms, large pools and an impressive breakfast buffet. Guests repeatedly single out reception staff (many by name) for exceptional service, though some note that parts of the property look dated and occasional maintenance issues occur.

Conrad Shanghai sits on Nanjing East Road with spectacular Bund and city views from high floors, roomy modern rooms and a standout breakfast. Guests repeatedly praise specific staff (Ivy, Freya, Leo, Jacky, Quain‑G) for warm, proactive service, though some reviewers note dated bathrooms, elevator waits at peak times and inconsistent housekeeping.

Housed in a converted 1930s telephone exchange in Paris's chic 7th arrondissement, Le Cinq Codet offers a serene, art-filled retreat. Guests praise the exceptionally honest and attentive staff, tranquil spa, and closeness to the Eiffel Tower. However, typical Parisian room sizes and occasional AC struggles in summer are notable drawbacks.

Set in a short walk from Aix’s old town, Grand Hôtel Roi René earns consistent praise for friendly, helpful staff, a generous breakfast buffet and a pleasant pool terrace. Renovations have refreshed many public areas and some rooms, but reviews show a mix of recently upgraded terrace rooms and older rooms with uneven maintenance. Good on service and location; expect variable room standards and occasional queues at reception.

Set in a majestic 1929 Art Deco palace on the iconic Promenade des Anglais, this luxury hotel features beautiful sea-view terraces and a heated indoor-outdoor pool. While guests consistently praise the exceptionally warm service and prime location, some note that room interiors show signs of wear. It remains a classic Riviera base within walking distance of Old Nice.
