A B&B in a villa in San Donato, just west of Lucca's city walls.

A restored 14–15th‑century riverside villa turned luxury hotel set in manicured gardens just outside Florence, Villa la Massa is repeatedly praised for its heartfelt, proactive staff, exceptional cuisine and serene poolside atmosphere. Many guests highlight personalised touches — anniversary/upgrades — and an efficient shuttle service to Florence, making it a top pick for romantic stays and special occasions.

Located in the heart of Florence just steps from the Santa Maria Novella station, W Florence blends energetic modern luxury with historic charm. The hotel features stylish rooms, a spectacular rooftop bar with Duomo views, and exceptional personalized service. However, light sleepers should be mindful of evening rooftop music and courtyard room layouts.
