Lower Gudauri

If skiing isn't your main goal and you prefer walking in scenic areas and visiting local sights, choose this option. Lower Gudauri has fewer loud parties and more Georgian atmosphere. It's also much easier to find parking if you're driving, and whole cottages are available to rent for groups. A six-person house costs from 440 lari. Without a car or transfer it will be inconvenient — walking to the lifts along the road takes about an hour. There is no public transport in Gudauri. A taxi ride typically costs 10–20 lari for ten minutes; tourists often share rides to split the cost. Hotel transfers to the lifts usually cost 25 lari.
